Madison turns 5!

Madison turned 5 this week. I can't believe how fast time goes.  People say that all the time, but I never really thought it, until I had kids!

Madison celebrated at home with us on her birthday, and then had a "Butterfly" party on Saturday, (her request) with her friends from.

For her birthday, she got a swimming pool for the kids, and some roller blades. Also, some jewelry, nail polish, and a new outfit. She was thrilled.

(Don't mind that dead square in the corner of my yard......we are in the middle of making a garden! Hooray!)

 Cake and  Ice cream

For favors, they each got a balloon, the pictures/butteflies they colored, their picture frames they decorated, and these little butterfly boxes full of special buttefly things, like a butterfly ring, fan, sucker, and some bracelets. (Thank goodness for Oriental Trading!)

All in all, she had a great birthday!

The first few weeks

The first week was rough...I'm not gonna lie.  After having McKayla, I figured things would get better, like the numb right hand I had the last month of pregnancy (Pregnancy Carpel Tunnel) and the innability to walk because of pain by my right hip....(I thought it was from the baby sitting on a nerve, but apparently my SI Joint was out of place.) By the end of the week, I was pretty miserable and the ability to walk had gotten much worse. I was nervous since James had to go back to work on Monday, and James' mom and sisters left Wednesday to go home, after coming to help. (My mom had to work, so her and my dad took a day trip up on Saturday to visit and see the baby.) Anyway- I finally got to the Physical Therapist the following Tuesday, and have been doing much better since. I go a few times a week so he can put the SI joint back into place (It keeps slipping out, since my body is so loose everywhere from just giving birth). My Carpel Tunnel has actually gotten worse, but hopefully it will go away within a few months!  Anyway- the nursing is going well so far...(besides my D-MER which I still have......you can look into that more on DMER.ORG if you are curious.  It's pretty severe again, but knowing that I'm not just crazy helps me get through it.  Adjusting to 5 hasn't actually been hard...it's just the other stuff that have made the first few weeks more difficult for me this time. And the hormones are always fun!  Anyway- as long as I have my sweet baby, I will get through it fine. Here are a few pictures at the hospital, and at home the first week or so.
